Plan

For my capstone I plan to research how to use Nvidia’s APEX Clothing Module (for realistic fabric movement), Neoglyphic’s NeoFur plugin (for fluffy, soft materials) and Marvelous Designer (also for realistic fabric).

So far I have been going over the documentation of the Clothing Module. I have found that through the use of their Clothing Tool, you can paint the minimum and maximum distances clothing can move, as well as generating collision volumes the cloth can interact with. Unlike where it is implemented, Nvidia provides very in depth documentation on this plugin/program.

As for NeoFur, it looks like it will be useful for certain materials I plan to work with. I have yet to download their demo, but I have gone over some of their in-depth tutorials.
I plan on trying out Marvelous Designer for the realism of having seams and potentially saving me from having to weight paint everything (but then again, I haven’t looked into this program much yet). It seems like an amazing program to try out, either way.
